Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis)
Native to the Mediterranean, rosemary is a restorative and reviving herb that contains antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. We grow it on our own farms and then distill it into rosmarinic acid, which is used as an essential oil and a hydrosol in our skin and hair care products.
What it does:
- For Skin: Rosemary oil controls sebum production—meaning your pores will be clearer and your skin will be a lot less oily. In addition, it’s anti-inflammatory, which means it not only treats the redness that occurs from frequent breakouts, it also reduces puffiness without irritation. What a win-win!
- For Hair: Rosemary oil’s anti-inflammatory properties keep your hair follicles healthy and your scalp happy (so conditions like dandruff don’t happen). In addition, the benefits of the carnosic acid in rosemary oil promotes nerve growth, encouraging your hair to stay strong.
